Was passing by the lifelong development center earlier. Chanced upon a roadshow for skillsfuture, Singapore government’s policy for future proofing the citizens

T; Dr

Government issues SGD500 credit for every Singaporean. Choice of Singaporean to choose areas they are more passionate about

Roadshow

The roadshow was puny however the concept and design is quite interesting, modelled after a supermarket

As a first attempt, this was really well done. However there are areas that need some improvement :

  • Exhibitors
  • The products image choice should match with what is printed (for now it’s a bit strange)
  • Consistent theme for the upcoming events or throughout the year to really drive home the message through familiarity

What’s next?

I’m actually quite excited to see what’s next in store. I submitted a course for reimbursement. Process was simple enough and still ensuring there is minimal fraud.

As part of my new role I’m now looking at UX so instead of waiting for the training from the company (if any) the government is empowering citizens to learn in their own with costs absorbed.

I would highly recommend the UX course I found on Udem

There are coupons if you search for them and for locals you can be reimbursed 😊

With Singapore now clearly a first world County (economically, maybe not socially or politically) the government must take bold steps forward and this is a good first step.
